Answer
i. Brigadier Mason and Hiro have respect towards each other eventhough they on a different sides of war because they both understand a terms called duty. In the military, duty is the prioritize responsibility. So, it is possible for Brigadier Mason to respect and understand Hiro's duty because Hiro only doing his duty as an interrogator. Other than duty, the bravery shown by Brigadier Mason earned him Hiro's respect. Although all kinds of physical and psychological methods done, Brigadier Mason still stand upright on his belief. He was innocent. It is proven when Hiro shook Brigadier Mason's hand and said it was an honor to meet a brave man like Mason himself. Then, they both bowed formally each other. The bowed also represent the respect on both of the characters. Brigadier Mason bowed to show his respect on Hiro's culture, eventhough he was an Englishman. He understand and respect the culture, show the formallity by performing the Japanese bow. This action made Hiro impress on Brigadier Mason's personality and created a great kind of mutual respect. Their respect did not finished after the Allied victory in World War Two. Hiro send Mason an invitation letter, invitation to his execution event. Mason granted Hiro's request by present at the event. They both honored to be present on that event because of courage shown by Mason during his captivity as PoW and Hiro was honored to see the bravest man, Mason to present on his last day. They both gained mutual respect in the time of war by understanding each others duty and personality.

Imagine that you are going to die tomorrow. Write a letter to someone that matters the most to you.
Imagine that you are going to die tomorrow. Write a letter to someone that matters the most to you.
To my dearest one, Almora.
If you read this letter, then I’m already dead. This was the pathetic ways of my end, but it is a bless to have you, besides me for a while. I didn’t mean to hurt you by keeping away my sickness towards you. I know you hate Marlboro because it contributes to my sickness and leads to my death. I’m sorry if I had done anything wrong towards you, deeply and truly from the bottom of my heart. Do you remember our date at the beach? We dance together with ‘Staying Alive’ as the sound and drink Fanta orange until you got burped. Then, we both laugh out loud. It’s funny and I love to stare at your face at that time. You were just too beautiful and innocent back there. At that time, I feel like I’m at the frozen moment, everything just stop. I keep that as memory of ours. Actually, I stole that Fanta orange from Econ Mini-Mart. I’m sorry. I’ve tried to impress you in every way that I could, but I can’t. Time was chasing on me. You have a long way and time to be done, but not me. Keep that memory in your mind as well as your love. My love towards you will never die, although I’m already dead. Do visit my grave because it will be the great things towards me. Don’t forget to pray and pray for both of us. One thing I know that I’m always loves you. May we meet at heaven.
From the dead, Zaha.
